Big data is not just a data storage technology but a series of extraction, integration, management, analysis, and interpretation technologies related to massive data, consisting of an extensive framework system. In other words, big data is a new way of thinking and business model.
With the rise of the mobile Internet of Things, the rapid improvement of storage capacity, and cloud computing capabilities, the landing and development of big data have also attracted more and more attention.
It affects my life in many ways—for example, e-commerce shopping. Big data connects users with products and services through correlation analysis. They position users' preferences to provide more accurate and oriented products and services to improve sales performance.
Through the collected data, user behavior analysis can be performed, and the consumption characteristics, brand preferences, and geographical distribution of the target customer group can be accurately positioned to guide the business management, brand positioning, and promotion marketing.
Not only e-commerce but also energy, film and television, securities, finance, agriculture, transportation, and public utilities are all areas where big data is used.
For my career direction, as a future UI/UX designer, big data will help me better locate the user group and design interactions from the user level.
Although big data has gradually integrated into our lives and has shown great potential for development, we have slowly realized that big data's convenience and commercial value are inseparable from a continuous data supply. Handing the data to others for analysis will inevitably worry about privacy leakage for users who produce data. The future of big data also exists in the continuous game between openness and privacy.

As we get older, the application switches from a more personal base to a broader, career scale base. I am also worried about data privacy leakage. Honestly, I am trying to not focus on it, because it seems really realistic.
