Portfolio Piece 1
User Persona
Jordan Bowie
Jordan is a staff member of the handshake website around 35 years old.
He helps students review and see if they are ready for the upcoming virtual job fair. He expects to see my professionalism and positive job-hunting attitude from my portfolio website.
Jordan is concerned about whether the logic of this collection is clear and whether it can emphasize my learning ability and personal strengths.
He likes the design of ‘Download CV’ on the website, and Jordan thinks it makes it easy for HR to review and understand me at any time. He will be unhappy with verbose modules that do not highlight personal characteristics.
Belle Walker
Belle is a teaching assistant in the human engineering course at Tufts University around 24 years old.
Before this semester, she had taken this class and got excellent grades, so the professor invited her to become a TA.
As a TA, she looks forward to seeing my creativity and inspiration from my portfolio website. Belle is concerned about whether I can digest the content in class and translate it into practical use on the website and see that I have laid a stable foundation for a mature collection of works in the future.
She likes the clear and smooth overall structure of my site so that users can easily understand where they want to go. She will be unhappy with the unsmooth or chaotic layout of the website.
Information Architecture
The users who may visit my website are very fixed and can be divided into two categories: the professor or teaching assistant who teaches this course and the future recruiters.
I make my website relatively simple to distribute, with only four categories, "Home," "Blog," "About Me," and "Portfolio."
On the "About Me" page, I added my resume and contact information.
In "Portfolio," I introduced one of my past projects, and I decided to update more projects in the future. Similarly, "Portfolio Piece 1" has been placed in this section as well.

In the overall color design of the website, I chose steady dark blue and warm brown, and in the middle of the transition color, I added a light yellow that was not bright. I hope to bring a calm or professional feeling with the cool tone of dark blue. Warm brown and light yellow appear to reconcile too many cold tones and bring users some soothing and relaxing state. I believe that these two contrasting colors can bring a clean and straightforward browsing experience to my users.
The navigation bar will appear at the top of the page, clearly navigating users to the category they want to go to. At the same time, I also pay great attention to the consistency of colors and fonts throughout the website, which helps to strengthen the professional level and coordination.

I look forward to getting more feedback from users to support my continued improvement of the site.
Automation Logic
To optimize the overall site and get more user feedback, I added an automated live chat. This automated feature optimizes communication problems. Since this live chat provides visitors with real-time chat and access to information, I can also get the visitor's page through this feature, which can help me get private feedback and know the visitor's confusion for specific designs.
In the overall website, I also inserted some other automated designs. For example, the interactive box slideshows of the "Home" page can automatically play a welcome and some introduction slides.
On the "About Me" page, I embed my resume on the button to download my resume. The embedded documents make it easier for users to jump directly to my resume and learn more about my profile.
I expect these designs to optimize my website and provide visitors with a clear and smooth experience.
